My final project proposal is to make an object that corresponds to peoples’ sight and uses touch as well to add to the visual experience the object will bring. I want to make an object as I say in my storyboard that you can manipulate and the visual aspect will change with each movement. I want to experiment with patterns and optical illusions to make something that people will want to pick up and continuously want to play with. I want to move away from the old school rubix cube style toy and create something with a beautiful visual and movement to it. I will need to experiment with different materials so that people will feel comfortable playing with it and also how the shapes will be joined. In my mock-up I used cellotape so if I make it out of wood or something sturdier I will obviously have do use something different to secure the pieces. I hope to achieve an object that is visually pleasing and fun to play with.
